The National Farm Attractions Network, NFAN, is a membership organisation supporting over 300 farm attractions and trade members across the UK. As the leading voice for the farm attraction industry, they help members connect, share knowledge, attend events and maintain high standards through initiatives such as the AAA Scheme.

With memberships, events, communications and industry resources all sitting at the heart of what they do, NFAN needed more than a refreshed website. They needed a platform that could support both their members and their internal team, bringing key processes into one easier-to-manage system.

Challenge

NFAN’s existing website and member systems had become difficult to use and even harder to manage. Membership renewals were clunky, event bookings were not straightforward, and members had to take too many steps to access key resources.

Behind the scenes, the team were dealing with high levels of manual admin, duplicate data entry and limited functionality in the member portal. The challenge was to replace a dysfunctional setup with a platform that could simplify member journeys, centralise data and reduce admin.

NFAN needed one system that could support memberships, event bookings, payments, communications and resources, while giving the organisation a scalable foundation for future growth.

The old site was really dysfunctional. We surveyed members over a year ago and they told us that the number one problem with the association was the website. So, as a priority, we started looking for a new agency that could deliver exactly what we wanted.

Solution

We designed and built a fully integrated website and CRM platform tailored around how NFAN actually operates. The new system brought together a public-facing website, private members’ area and bespoke admin tools, giving NFAN one central place to manage members, organisations, events, communications and resources.

The platform includes membership management with subscription tracking, event booking with capacity management, integrated payments for memberships, events and sponsorships, and a structured content system for news, updates and member resources.

We also added CRM functionality, reporting and export tools, Mailchimp integration for communication and segmentation, and Xero integration to support financial management.

Result

NFAN now has a website and CRM platform that works for both members and the internal team. Members can manage subscriptions, book events, access documents and complete key actions more easily, while the NFAN team can manage data, bookings, payments and communications from one connected system.

The platform has simplified renewals, streamlined event booking and reduced reliance on fragmented processes. With 310 active members, 256 event booking tickets processed, 94% website health and a 95% accessibility score, NFAN now has a stronger digital foundation that supports the scale of the organisation and gives them room to grow.
